Working in Partnership

GBIM’s Working in Partnership service (WiP) is for professional advisers, usually IFAs, Solicitors and Accountants, who have clients that wish to benefit from a personally-tailored discretionary investment management service. Portfolios are managed by the experienced team at GBIM on a discretionary basis with clearly defined objectives, risk parameters and time horizons.

Clients’ portfolios are segregated and tailored to their requirements. They are not invested in ‘off the peg’ in-house funds, nor are they model driven. Each client is treated as an individual and their portfolios are managed according to their own objectives and priorities, and those of their adviser.

WiP is designed to provide a well resourced and cost effective equivalent of an in-house Investment Management department.

WiP is flexible and aligns GBIM’s expertise with that of clients’ other advisers, in the best interests of the client.

The advantages for the introducing Intermediary are:

  • Reduced compliance risk
  • Streamlined administration
  • Greater sophistication
  • Full access to markets
  • Improved service to the client
  • Retention of client control
