Oliver Findlay

Senior Investment Manager - Chartered FCSI

Oliver joined Gore Browne in 2017 after fourteen years as a director and team leader at a publicly quoted wealth manager. His career started at Hoare Govett in 1986 as a market maker and institutional stockbroker. This supplied a broad and comprehensive introduction and background to his role as an investment manager, which started in 1996.  He is now qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Oliver has managed investment accounts for domestic and international clients including individuals, trusts and charities, and has done this through a full spectrum of market and economic conditions. Oliver sets great store by understanding clients’ objectives, in producing suitable investment solutions for them and then reacting to their changing circumstances.  He feels that efficient communication with clients and other professional advisers is an essential element of his job.  Oliver specialises in offshore accounts for trusts and companies based in the Channel Islands, and is leading Gore Browne’s expansion in this area.

He served for four years in the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards prior to his career in the investment markets, and is married with a son. Family life includes a variety of activities and sports, including a family enjoyment of riding Segway scooters. Oliver is an avid Sudoku puzzle solver,  an enthusiastic under-gardener and plays tennis, cricket and golf. He has also served on his Parish and Parochial Church Councils.

In 2020 Oliver became a Dementia Friend, an Alzheimer’s Society Initiative. Click here to find out more.
